POSITION: ACCOUNTANT
DEPARTMENT: FINANCE
DUTY STATION: NAIROBI
JOB SUMMARY
Applications are invited for an Accountant position at Hela Capital Limited. Successful persons will be
deployed in the Finance department.
Responsibilities
 Entry of sales and byproducts and reconciliations of the same in the QuickBooks Accounting
System on timely basis
 Timely computation of top-ups for clients
 Reconciliations of banks statement, Paybill statements and byproducts with QuickBooks
accounting system and ensure speedy implementation of mismatch actions in a timely
manner.
 Review and resolve discrepancies in information and obtaining further information for
incomplete documents.
 Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements
 Process payment vouchers and receipts and ensure all vouchers are kept online for future
reference
 Prepare monthly customer payments and balance reconciliation reports and ensure customer
queries are addressed on time.
 Ensure operational/office petty cash and reimbursements are properly handled
 Ensure proper filling system for receipts, payment vouchers, bank statements and all
other official documents
 Effective tracking of investor funds including payments and fund reconciliations.
 Any other duties and reports as assigned to you by management from time to time.
Education & Experience
 Relevant Business Degree and/or at least a CPA Finalist
 Must have at least (3) three years’ relevant experience
 Proficiency in Quick-books accounting software
 Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word).
